2005-2006 Scholarship Awards:

Alhamdulillah, The Zaki Badr Foundation is pleased to announce that seven (7) students in the following Islamic Schools have been awarded our annual Book and Supplies Scholarships for the year 2005-2006:

2003-2004 Scholarship Awards

6 Awards Divided Among Five Schools:

(1) New Horizon School, Los Angeles, CA,
(2) The Universal Academy of Florida, Tampa, FL,
(3) Al-Noor Academy Islamic High School, Quincy, MA,
(4) Toledo Islamic Academy, Toledo, OH, and
(5) Islamic School of Irving, Irving, TX.


2002-03 Scholarship Awards:

Alhamdulillah, three scholarships for the 2002-03 school year were awarded to students from the Toledo Islamic Academy


2001-02 Scholarship Awards:

Alhamdulillah, two scholarships for the 2001-02 school year were awarded to students from the Islamic School of Louisville, KY!


We ask that Allah allow this small effort to allow them to increase their growth and Iman through Islamic Education. 



The purpose of the Zaki Badr Foundation Islamic Education Scholarship is to assist needy students attending Islamic Schools who demonstrate strong academic promise.
Students must meet the following guidelines:
  1. Students must be in grade 1-12 and enrolled in a full-time Islamic School;
  2. Islamic studies must be a required part of the student's course of study; (Schools with more developed Islamic studies programs will be favored).
  3. Student's family must have applied and qualified for financial aid at the student's Islamic School; applicants who qualified but did not receive financial aid at the local level due to lack of local funds may still apply; (Students shown to be in greater financial need will be favored).
  4. Student must have maintained a 3.0 GPA for each grading period of the previous academic year; (Students with higher GPA's will be favored).
  5. Student must be able to demonstrate a preference for Islamic education and a love for Islam as a way of life by submitting an essay (or drawing for grades 1-2 only) in this regard with their application; [Essay should be no more than 2 pages max].
